here to help
Welcome! I’m Lori Eisner and I’m so glad you have found your way here. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in evidence-based psychotherapy for adults (18+). I work with individuals navigating challenges related to mood and anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, attention and executive functioning, relationships, and day-to-day coping. I offer in-person therapy in Needham, MA, virtual therapy sessions when appropriate, and online live and self-paced mental health workshops designed to support individuals seeking convenient, accessible care.
my approach
At the heart of my work is a collaborative, compassionate approach—one that supports greater clarity, flexibility, and well-being in the face of life’s challenges. Grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I have expertise in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I draw from these integrative research supported frameworks to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs.
Forward, together.
Exploring fit
Our work together begins with an 2 session evaluation. During this time, we’ll explore your concerns, gather your history, clarify your treatment goals, and determine whether I’m the right fit to support your needs. I’ll share my initial impressions of what our work may involve and, if needed, provide referrals to other providers who may be a better match. This period also gives you the opportunity to decide whether you feel comfortable moving forward together.

a shared path to progress
Pain is an inevitable part of life, but we sometimes suffer more than we need to—often in ways that lead us to seek support. In therapy, my goal is to help you manage current challenges while also working toward a more meaningful, values-aligned life. We will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be getting in the way of having the life you want and reflect on how past experiences shape present patterns. We will build on your strengths, develop new coping strategies, and support lasting change—all within a collaborative, compassionate, and safe therapeutic space. I generally meet with clients once a week for 45-minute sessions over the first 8–10 weeks, though I’m flexible based on your needs and what is clinically appropriate.

“Psychological flexibility is the ability to be in the present moment with full awareness and openness to experience and to take action guided by our values. Put more simply, it’s the ability to ‘be present, open up, and do what matters’.”
-Russ Harris, ACT Made Simple
